Frequently asked questions
The questions we get most often about studying, accounts and billing.
General
A Japanese learning platform built around the N5–N1 path for students and working adults: structured courses, kanji flashcards, automatic furigana, reading and listening practice, and JLPT mock questions.
Yes. Start at Alphabet to learn Hiragana and Katakana, then follow the N5 path. Every lesson supports furigana, so you do not need to know kanji beforehand.
Studying
1. Hiragana → Katakana 2. The N5 course, lesson by lesson 3. Vocabulary flashcards for your current level 4. Practice sets to check yourself
The Review section tells you which cards are due, so you can just follow it.
Toggle furigana from the toolbar above a lesson. While reading, tap or select a Japanese word to see its reading, part of speech and meaning right there.
Billing
See the Pricing page for the current plans. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy — we never store your card details.
We offer a voluntary 7-day money-back guarantee. Customers in the EU/EEA and the UK additionally keep their statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Full details on the Refund policy page.
Account
On the sign-in page, use the forgot-password link and enter your email. If you signed up with Google, sign in with Google instead — that account has no separate password.
Technical
Yes, while you are signed in: progress, streaks, favourite cards and your review list are stored on your account. If you study as a guest, the data stays only in that browser.
